Best Brunch Restaurants in Irvine

By December 11, 2018Orange County

The Irvine Standard recently published an article on the best brunch spots in Irvine because when Sunday rolls around, Irvineites (yes, we just coined that) are often left wondering where the best french toast is. Here are the recommendations (and we’ve added our own, too!)

The wine enthusiast
Cucina Enoteca
means “wine shop” in Italian, which makes it the perfect place to pair Sunday brunch dishes with a glass of wine. The extensive but approachable wine list has a collection of global wines offered by the glass so you can try a new favorite. How about a warm breakfast pizza from the wood-fired oven, topped with bacon, crème fraiche, potato and a farm fresh egg? Cheers!

Sunday Brunch 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The sports nut
You don’t have to be a scratch golfer to love brunch at Oak Creek Café. Tucked away near the greens of the Oak Creek Golf Course, this popular spot pleases both golf enthusiasts and brunch lovers. The patio is scenic, and the indoor fireplace is cozy. Try the Irvine Huevos Rancheros with a house-blended, made-
to-order bloody mary.

Weekend Brunch 7a.m. – 12 p.m.

The kid pleaser
Kids love pancakes, plain and simple, but Stacks Pancake House offers so much more. The menu is a melting pot of breakfast classics; Kalua Pork Benedict, Spicy Chorizo Scramble, Hawaiian Loco Moco and, of course, 11 varieties of pancakes! Feed your own inner child with Captain Crunch Peanut Butter French
Toast topped with fresh bananas.

Open daily 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Dog lover
What’s Sunday morning without your best friend? At Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, you can bring your four legged buddy along and enjoy brunch on the shaded, dog friendly patio. There’s even a special dog menu with grilled hamburger or chicken with brown rice. The human menu comes straight from a Rocky Mountain campfire — Flat Iron Steak and Eggs Benedict, Wild Huckleberry Pancakes and Carnitas with Tater Tot Hash.

Saturday Brunch 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sunday Brunch 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
